my wish list
Since Natalya was born I've been taking a lot more pictures (as seen here) which I store on flickr. You could help me maintain my Pro account upgrades of more storage and better features by renewing my Pro account.
Having gone through my room filled with old stuff I'd saved, I can say that one of the only magazines to which I'd be proud to be a subscriber is The Week. But I'm not... yet.
I've got a wish list on Amazon.com, but it's not entirely comprehensive. I don't have many books on there, as Columbus has a pretty great library. So it's mainly the movies and CDs that I'd like to own.
I also have a wish list on Amazon UK but there's even less there. Of course, that just means I want this stuff even more.
I like music and a have a lot of it on vinyl, CD and my iPod. I'm always looking for more good stuff, though:
I also like movies, though your tastes and mine might diverge. Amazon and I have different tastes, too, I guess, since they don't stock everything I want. For DVDs only I have a wishlist on DeepDiscountDVD but I can't find a good way to link to it. Many times their prices are quite good, much better than for the same items on Amazon.
I sometimes want silly things:
I wear t-shirts in size Large.
I occasionally mess with 1:87th scale (that's HO scale) stuff. I intend to build a layout with trains, but from all the cars I've gotten it looks like I'm working on a serious parking lot.
My neighbor down the street has three radio control helicopters. Though I'd be afraid to break one of his, I had no qualms breaking mine, a Global Sabre. It can use the same spare parts as a Walkera Dragonfly #4. I need a new rotor blade, and probably will need more than a few replacements over the years. The local shops all sell e-Flite 'copters, so if I were to get a new one, I'd probably go with that brand.
Sometime I'd like to start playing with circuits again.
I already probably have too many wristwatches.
On a more practical note:

- There's a deluxe edition of Belle & Sebastian's Push Barman to Open Old Wounds. They sell it at Best Buy, but it's a bit rare.
- Back in 1977 Myron Floren released an album combining disco and polka music. Really. I want it.

I sometimes want silly things:
- I enjoy the game "Connect 4" in its many variants. This one is almost four feet tall, but it is quite pricey.
- This LED pen strikes me as a grownup version of one of those toys that were must-haves as a kid -- the ones I'd play with once or twice and then break or lose or forget. But it would be fun to play with for a while, I'm sure.
I wear t-shirts in size Large.
- Threadless often sells shirts I like in very limited runs. Generally the ones I like sell out very quickly, but I'd be happy to receive most any of the shirts from them. If you'd rather have me pick it out, I'd be more than happy to indulge you when you give me a Threadless gift certificate.
I occasionally mess with 1:87th scale (that's HO scale) stuff. I intend to build a layout with trains, but from all the cars I've gotten it looks like I'm working on a serious parking lot.
- I'd like a bus or two. They come in red and blue.
- I should probably get a pickup truck too.
- I saw a BMW M1 on ebay, but it doesn't sound like that many will be out there. Moreover it's probably a little too new for my eventual setup, but who cares? I like M1s, but probably because they look like the 850i.
- Of course, I can't find that much browsing here and there. To do some real damage I'd need a catalog from Walthers. Remember, HO scale.

- This kit looks like a good starting point.
I already probably have too many wristwatches.
- But this one from Fossil looks so cool. Would I wear it? I'd definitely put it into the rotation. Another cool watch by them is this automatic.
On a more practical note:
- I've never had a good set of micro screwdrivers. One of these would probably keep me from buying any more cheap sets of them.
- This tool looks simple but apparently is quite useful.
- As often as our electricity seems to be out, a portable generator could be more than handy.
- Thumbthing looks very useful. Buy one here. Their measurements make no sense, so I'd guess I'm at least a large.
- This kitchen timer would come in handy not only in the kitchen, but also for playing board games that need a timer.
