I'm just not used to being chased around a mall at night by killer robots.

I just watched the most awesomest horror film ever. It's called Chopping mall (though some may know it as Killbots or ROBOT) and it's got it all: rampaging killer robots with lasers, scantily clad teenagers, a shopping mall that sells guns and gasoline, holes in logic, and even a gratituitous exploding head scene. I saw the name "Corman" somewhere in the opening credits, and from that moment on everything made sense. Or rather, most everything. There's a bit where one robot, having cornered its quarry, doesn't do anything about it but look menacing and clack its solenoid hands until the other protagonist shows up. Elsewhere the robots speak audibly, as though to reassure themselves of their drudgerous toilsome labor (or is it laborious toil?) amongst the stores.

One of them electrocutes a familiar-looking Dick Miller (whose recognizable face appears in over 100 films) which elicts a lot more sympathy for him than for another poor schlub who also gets fried, AC style, in a run-in with the 'bots.

It was hilarious. I think I want to own this movie.
