fine whine

I was playing with the ol' zombie simulator today and had noticed what looked like a small enclave of lucky humans (seen in purple in the picture) protected on all sides from the zombies (in green) except for a small opening just large enough to let one through. The fact that they hadn't yet been eaten and turned into lurching zombies themselves I took to be a sign of hope, and I intended to vigilantly watch them until the bitter end, in a well-concealed window on my desktop.

Then I noticed that there was, in fact, no way for the zombies to get into the safe haven nor any escape for the humans therein. And I struggle now to come up with some sort of relevance for all of this.
